Laser hair removal

Laser hair removal

Almost everyone suffers from unwanted hair growth on certain parts of the body. Regular shaving, resins or epilation of this hair growth can cause skin irritation and also cost a lot of time. The Diode Laser is the solution for this!

The hair growth

To undergo a hair removal treatment you should be aware of the process of normal hair growth. Hairs have three different growth phases. Because each hair has its own growth phase, it takes a long time before every hair is permanently removed. Nevertheless, the result is quickly visible and with the right time between the treatments the results remain good.

How many treatments?

This depends on the density, color, diameter and location of the hair.
On average it takes about 9-10 treatments before a good result is achieved. The face / armpits / bikini line is treated every 4-6 weeks and the back/ arms/ legs every 8-12 weeks. A hair reduction of about 70-80% is expected at the end of the treatment process. Once the desired result is achieved, we recommend to undergo maintenance once or twice a year. This is because the human body is always able to develop new hair follicles, eg during a pregnancy or menopause.

Side effects

In principle, there are no side effects of the laser treatment. After the treatment, the skin may be red for about 24 hours after treatment. During the treatment process, there may be temporary pigmentation shifts in the skin, but this is rare. There is almost no risk on scarring because of laser hair treatment.

Laser hair removal

The hair shaft contains pigmentation (melanin). The treatment head emits an energy beam that is absorbed by the pigment. This means that the laser only responds to dark hair (black and brown). Red, blonde, white and gray hairs do not contain melanin and can therefore not be treated.
The skin is slightly numbed by means of cooling. The sensation is often described as an elastic band against the skin.
